What is the BAföG application?

Formblatt 1 is the main application for BAföG, Germany's federal student and pupil financial aid. Students and pupils use it to request monthly funding for their education.

Depending on personal circumstances, further numbered Formblatter (form sheets) may also be required, such as one covering parents' income or one for a period of study abroad.

Who needs to file it?
